LEONIE NKUO

Director and Principal Solicitor

Leonie is a Director and Principal Solicitor at Hamptons Law Firm which she established in March 2016. The firm has grown during this time under her guidance, dedication and expertise. She is a well-established Family and Housing solicitor, having worked exclusively in these areas since qualifying in October 2011.

Leonie has expertise in all areas of Family law and Housing law.

Leonie represents parents in complex contact disputes. She also represents Applicants and Respondents in matrimonial matters and Domestic violence cases. Many of the Domestic violence cases involve complex historic and ongoing physical, emotional, financial and psychological abuse.

Leonie also has extensive experience in advising and representing clients in a broad range of housing law issues. These include homeless appeals; defending possession proceedings; anti-social behaviour injunctions and judicial review claimant matters. She represents a variety of both publicly funded (legal aid) and privately funded clients, at all levels of proceedings.

Leonie is a member of the Legal aid Practitioners Group and the Housing Law Practitioners’ Association. She is also a member of Resolution and is a Resolution accredited specialist in Children-Private Law and Domestic Abuse.

Leonie’s qualifications include a BSC(Hons) Sociology and Anthropology, Diploma in Geography, Post Graduate Diploma in Law, Certificate in Legal Practice Course and Professional Skills Course.
